THE BIG RED ONE

Bruizer has been working with what is being heralded as the future of the industry by many cinematographers - the Red camera.

The Red One offers a vastly superior recording quality of up to 4k which can be more than five times the amount of information captured every second compared to other high end HD cameras on the market.

In addition, the camera has a PL lens mount which means it can take the world's finest prime cine lenses and has a tapeless workflow, meaning shots can be viewed or edited immediately.

Editor John Fensom has been handling images shot on Red and is suitably impressed with its results. "The results from the camera are simply amazing," said John, "by using this camera we really are able to future proof our work and the ease with which it integrates with Final Cut is outstanding".

Films which have recently been shot on the Red Include Crossing the Line, directed by Peter Jackson of Lord of the Rings fame, and Tom Hank's Angels and Demons. The BBC1 series Wallander was the first television drama series to be shot on the Red One.

NETWORK RAIL

Bruizer was recently commissioned by Network Rail to produce a safety awareness film to inform and educate young people about the dangers of the CTRL (Channel Tunnel Rail Link), as part of their "No Messin" campaign.

The high-speed link connects London to Paris and Brussels and travels through the country at speeds of up to 300km/h.

Filmed in Kent and at Bruizer's base in Rendlesham, the DVD combines trackside footage of the CTRL trains running at full speed, with a series of scientific experiments by our team of "Trainiacs", to demonstrate the consequences of playing on or near the railway lines.

The video will be used in schools and with groups of young people across London and the South East to raise awareness of the dangers of the CTRL and inform them of some of the facts and figures about the high-speed railway.
